John Armstrong

John is an author, mentor, and minister. He is a graduate of Wheaton College with B.A. (1971) and M.A. (1973) degrees and received his Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) from Luther Rice Seminary in Atlanta (1979).

John has taught graduate-level theology and lectured in many contexts. He has authored eight books and edited eight more, most significantly: Your Church Is Too Small (Zondervan, 2010), Costly Love: The Way to True Unity for All the Followers of Jesus (New City Press, Hyde Park, NY: 2017), and most recently Tear Down These Walls: Following Jesus into Deeper Unity (Cascade Books, 2021)

He loves God, people, and Christ’s church and enjoys the arts, film and American history. Additionally, he is quite the MLB (Chicago White Sox) and college football (Alabama) fan.
